Chicken Crockpot

Heya Love! Hope everything’s good with you! Here is cold, windy and stormy day and I thought that today is the right day to start listing my adapted recipes. Chicken Crockpot ala Aurelia today? Very easy! 🙂

chicken crockpot

Ingredients:

  • Boneless chicken – I use breast fillet, cut smaller
  • 1 cup Honey
  • 5 tbsp Soy Sauce – for a start
  • 2 Onions (I love onion, and I use the big one!)
  • 5 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 3 cloves of Garlic – minced (if you don’t like the garlic taste, use only 2 cloves)
  • 1/4 tsp red flakes chili – if you like a bit spicy, if not, please ignore this
  • Sesame seeds
  • Water
  • Salt, pepper, paprika powder (and chili powder)

How-to-make-it:

  • Cut and season chicken with salt, pepper, paprika
  • Heat up oil and saute onion and garlic for 1 min, and add soy sauce, honey, ketchup and a cup of water, mix well
  • Add chicken, bring it to boil
  • Lower the stove, make sure that chicken is covered with just enough mixture, cover it and cook it with small fire for at least 1,5 hours or until chicken is very soft (add water if it is necessary)
  • Once chicken is very soft, close the fire, use forks to shred the chicken
  • Heat it up again, taste it, season with soy sauce, salt, pepper, or honey if necessary, and let it boil until sauce is almost dry up
  • Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve it with steam rice and fresh salad

Hope you like it and Happy cooking x
